For all of 2026 and 2027, every dollar of PageRain's net profit is given to charities defending human rights around the world. From 2028 onward, we will always give at least 80% of net profit. This pledge has no end date.
PageRain is a small tool with modest subscription revenue. We don't need it to make us rich — so we're not going to let it. Here is exactly what we commit to, and exactly what we hold back.
100% of net profit in the 2026 and 2027 calendar years — every dollar left after the real cost of running PageRain — is donated to charities working on human rights.
From 2028 onward, at least 80% of net profit will be donated every year. This is an open-ended commitment with no expiry date.
Before there's any profit to give, revenue first covers operational expenses — servers, platform API fees, payment processing, and paying the people who keep it running.
We also keep a small operating reserve so a slow month can't take the service — or the pledge — down. That reserve is capped.
Net profit = subscription & usage revenue − operating costs − a capped reserve − any unrecovered losses from earlier periods. We donate 100% of that net profit in 2026–2027 and never less than 80% in any year after. If PageRain runs at break-even or at a loss, the pledge gives $0 for that period. Giving resumes only after the accumulated loss has been fully recovered and PageRain is generating net profit again.
